ABOUT ME

Alfred Kumwenda is an award-winning 2D Animator and Production Designer specialising in storyboarding, 2D character design, and visual storytelling. Backed by an extensive academic foundation, Alfred holds both a Bachelor's degree and a Postgraduate Master's degree in Animation and Visual Effects, having trained internationally at The Animation School, SAE Institute, and Leeds Art University.
Alfred has lent his artistic and technical expertise to independent studios and organisations such as Bring to Life Animation, Studio Oxygen Africa and Dure Technologies. His versatile portfolio balances commercial production work, like Trevino Safari (2024), with acclaimed independent filmmaking, highlighted by his award-winning animated short film, Entomophobic (2020).
